Wildebeest Migration Special (July – November)

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be met and transferred to ;Moshi. If you are lucky, you will get to catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds.

This morning you will travel to Tarangire National Park, taking approximately 2-3 hours. Tarangire is sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants.; Enjoy your afternoon game drive.

Today you have a full day to further explore Tarangire National Park.; Tarangire;is surprisingly large with an incredible diversity of landscapes and vegetation.; Many people are blown away by its beauty.; A day spent discovering all the peaceful animal hiding spots our guides know so well, will never be regretted!

After breakfast, enjoy morning game drive in Tarangire;before commencing your drive to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti. Here is home to millions of wildebeest during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and many other small predators. Enjoy an on-route game drive to your camp and the experience of sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti.

Today you have a full day to explore the Serengeti. Break the day into morning and afternoon game drives or take a picnic lunch for a full day. Your guide will choose the best wildlife viewing locations for the time of year. Spend time at the hippo pool, watching these enormous animals laze about in the cool water alongside the crocodiles, watch a lion stalking its prey or be staggered by the scale of the great wildebeest migration. Journey from wide, open plains to the kopjes, volcanic rocky outcrops that provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate in game viewing.

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After that make your way to Northern region of Serengeti to witness the great wildebeest Migration River Crossings along the Mara River. Enjoy an enroute game drive. Spend the afternoon watching the great spectacle. Your guide will find the best spots to witness the migration.

Today you have the full day at the Northern Serengeti. You can spend the whole day out or split the day into two. This will be at your discretion. Your guide will find you the best spots around the Mara river to witness the Great Migration spectacle. Northern Serengeti is also home to many cats and you can spend the day exploring other scenic part of the park.

An early morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti;to try and find the Wildebeest River crossings.;Enjoy an enroute game drive;to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will overnight. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometres across and 600 metres deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder.

This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wonderful haven for wildlife. Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls, hence you have the opportunity to find game easily. Rhino in particular can be seen regularly, as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. Enjoy lunch by the hippo pond. After Lunch you will drive back to Arusha which takes approx. 2 hours

Today you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your flight.
